Step 2

Know What to Expect

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Joshua Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for the whole family. Who is Joshua Baptist? We are a community of people led by Christ to bring hope, strength, and change to the world, one life at a time. Our focus is to teach and preach the truths of God’s Word in a relevant manner to guide those who do not know Christ toward a personal relationship with Him, and to help Christians living in today’s culture to live for Him. We use the King James Bible. Our hope is that you will take the next step in this community. Visit us this weekend and experience Joshua Baptist for yourself.

What can I expect on my first visit?
Our greeters and ushers are located throughout the campus to greet you and gladly direct you and even escort you to the correct classes, services, or directly to the Guest Center for information. At 10:00 a.m., there are Adult Bible Classes. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, perhaps enjoy some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your life- stage. The best way to get to know people at Joshua Baptist Church is to visit one of these Adult Bible Classes. At 11:00 a.m., our worship service begins where you will enjoy beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, soloists, and ensembles. The music is followed by a clear, helpful, and gospel-centered message from Pastor Wolfenbarger.

Where do I take my children?
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every child from birth through high school. At every service, there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children four years old and under. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children five years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

What about student ministries?
Our student ministries are broken down into Junior High, High School, and College and Career. Each group meets during the Bible Class hour with relevant, Bible teaching to help guide them through their current stage of life.

How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Joshua Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Joshua Baptist!
