How it all started...
Joshua Baptist Church, founded by Dr. Gene Wolfenbarger Sr., began in 1986 in the front yard of his home in Joshua, TX. After years of evangelism and pastoring here and there, this church was an answer to the prayers of both the preacher and his wife, Mrs. Ginger Wolfenbarger. By the next year, the church had grown so much that they began meeting at the "storefront" located on Broadway in town.
Expanding the vision...
As the church continued to grow, it was time to break ground on a brand new building located just next to the "storefront" property. The church met and worshipped at this location from 1988 to 2000. This is now the current location of the Iglesia Bautista de Joshua spanish ministry.
Where we are...
Our services are still being held at the beautiful facility located at 3231 SW Wilshire Blvd. in Joshua, TX where The Lord has truly blessed Joshua Baptist Church throughout the years. There have been remodels and additions made to the building itself, but the church family has remained true to why it all began in the first place. To bring honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.
